Medium-wall/heavy wall tubing usually refers to the insulating tubing in cable protection, where the heat shrink tubing has a thicker wall in comparison to other types. This dual wall heat shrink tubing is manufactured using polyolefin, thus providing an excellent insulation and mechanical protection. The tubing has higher shrink ratios, making it suitable for splicing of accessories and wires in a wide range of sizes. This heat shrink tubing also has thicker wall in order to provide a better insulating and mechanical protection for connectors in medium or high voltage cables. The hot melt adhesive layer also ensures a water resistant seal for those same connectors and accessories.
